Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer for Mexico

For the duration of the global health crisis, all work for this position will be done remotely. Travel within Mexico will be contingent upon the lifting of government restrictions and confirmation of safe conditions on the ground.
Solidarity Center seeks a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer in Mexico for a US Government funded project to help workers realize and exercise their rights under landmark labor law reforms enacted in 2017 and 2019. Priority sectors for this project include aerospace, mining, steel, aluminum, industrial bakeries, electronics, and/or call centers.
The M&E Officer will report to the Country Coordinator based in Mexico, with responsibility for monitoring, evaluation, and learning activities for this project. This will include gathering, reporting and analyzing performance data, as well as assessing outcomes and program impact. This individual will also participate in and contribute to the Solidarity Center’s Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning community of practice and build M&E capacity throughout the program offices.
Qualifications:
This position requires strong project management skills and the ability to monitor budgets and outcomes and write results-oriented reports. Knowledge of and/or experience engaging with worker rights issues in supply chains is required, including worker rights violations particular to women, such as Gender Based Violence (GBV). This position demands sound judgment, a head for analysis, and a keen political sense. Experience with worker organizing and/or worker issue advocacy in Mexico is highly desirable.
